The Best Coffee Subscription That Gives Back
Daniel McNair, Head Roaster & Co-Founder ยท June 4, 2026

Plenty of brands say your purchase makes a difference. Most will not tell you what difference, or how much. We are a nonprofit coffee roaster, so we will show you the math and let you decide.
What "gives back" should mean
The phrase gets thrown around a lot. A brand donates a slice of profit, or plants a tree, and the marketing does the rest. We hold ourselves to a higher bar, because we do not have shareholders to pay. Kingdom Coffee Roasters is a nonprofit. After the cost of green coffee, bags, roasting, and shipping, what is left funds Gospel work, not dividends.
That changes the question you should ask. The better question is what a company is built for, past the percentage on the label. Ours is built for one thing.
Where your money goes
Our long game is simple to say and hard to do. We are working toward buying beans straight from farms in Colombia, and using that foothold to reach tribes in the Amazon who have never heard about Jesus. Every bag you buy pays for part of it. You are funding a coffee company that exists to send the Gospel to people almost no one else is trying to reach.
That is the whole pitch. No tote bags, no vague "social impact" report. Coffee in, mission out.
But the coffee has to be good
A mission does not make coffee taste better. We know that. If the cup is flat, you cancel, and the mission loses the money it needed. So we roast in small batches here in Arkansas and ship within the same week, and what lands on your counter is days old instead of months. Our Colombia Huila is certified organic, grown in volcanic highland soil, with caramel sweetness and a clean finish. People reorder it because they like it, then feel good about where the money went. That order matters, the coffee first.
If you want to taste what we mean, the Colombia Huila Organic is where most people start.
What you get each month
Two ways to subscribe:
- Missions Mix. We pick a single origin each month and rotate it, so you taste the range of what we roast. Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, and a few that rotate in.
- Pick your own. Choose your coffee and roast level, the same bag every time.
Both take 10% off, ship the week we roast, and you can pause or cancel from your account.
Is it worth the price?
A 12 oz bag on subscription starts at $18.90. That is more than a can from the grocery store and less than a coffee-shop habit. For the difference, you get coffee roasted for you that week, and you put a stranger's first chance to hear the Gospel on your grocery list each month. We think that is a fair trade. You can judge the coffee yourself with a single bag before you commit to anything.
If that trade sounds right, you can start your coffee subscription in a couple of minutes and change it whenever you want.
How we compare to other give-back brands
Most cause-driven coffee brands are for-profit companies giving a percentage away. That is a good thing, and we are glad they do it. We are built different on purpose. The whole company is the cause. There is no owner taking profit, because there is no owner. If you want your coffee dollars going as far as they can toward a mission, a nonprofit roaster is the cleanest way to do it. Read how to choose a coffee roaster if you want to vet us, and everyone else, the same way.
Start where it makes sense
Taste first with a single bag from the shop, or go straight to a subscription and lock in 10% off. Either way, you will be drinking better coffee by next week, and funding a mission most people never hear about.
For coffee and Kingdom.
Common questions
What makes a coffee subscription one that gives back?
The brand puts part of your purchase toward a cause instead of profit. Most give-back brands are for-profit companies donating a percentage. We are a nonprofit, so the entire company is the cause and there are no owners taking profit.
Does a give-back coffee mean lower quality?
It should not, and with us it does not. A mission does not make coffee taste better. If the cup is flat you cancel, and the mission loses. We roast in small batches and ship the same week, so quality comes first.
How much of my purchase goes to the mission?
As a nonprofit, everything past the cost of green coffee, bags, roasting, and shipping goes to the mission. There are no shareholders and no owners drawing profit from your order.
Can I try the coffee before I subscribe?
Yes. Order a single 12 oz bag from the shop, and if you like it, start a subscription for 10% off every bag.
